55 MW photovoltaic farm
Pelagonia Region, Macedonia

A full inspection of the completed power plant was carried our right after commencing production. More than 36,000 thermal and RGB photographs were taken and analyzed , on more than 100,000 PV panels. Anomalies which are typical for a plant newly put into production were noted (switched off strings, disruption of DC cables, activated by-pass diode after first use etc.). Consultations between the Client’s team and our team of engineers led to forthwith removing these anomalies, thus further loss in production was eliminated.

One of the first photovoltaic power plants in the Republic, which has been in use for over 13 years, was fully thermally processed and analyzed. Even though it had been well maintained, a few anomalies were detected and our team pointed out the need of a slight intervention, so as to eliminate them, thus enhance efficiency.

Installation over an industrial facility. The orderliness of the equipment is vital for this facility, as it is a substantial consumer of electric power itself. The thermal inspection was carried out at the request of the Client, triggered by the spotted decrease of production of electrical power. The conclusion was that the decrease was the result of the necessity of additional cleaning of the panels and changing a few of totally dysfunctional panels.

Installation over a commercial facility which is in an industrial district. The need for a more frequent cleaning, which we drew as a conclusion, was due to the nearby industrial facilities – air polluters. The Report issued by DRONADZIJA DOO located additional anomalies of some panels, as well. (activated By-pass diode, dead cells, waste over the panels etc.)

At the request of the Client, the project was periodically monitored throughout its execution. The aim was to keep the managerial team updated with the dynamics of execution, the extent of involvement of the technical and engineering personnel and having an overall view of the progress of works, without their physical presence at the construction site.
